Recreation Ground Play area

On 26th June 2020, the Government issued guidelines on re-opening of play areas on or after 4th July 2020. The guidelines are long, complicated and not practical for implementation by smaller councils and the National Association of Local Councils are pressing the government for clarification on certain points of the legislation.
As well as this, safety checks on the equipment and a specific COVID-19 risk assessment need to be carried out and approved by Council before the play area can be re-opened. This will be discussed at the Parish Council meeting on 7th July 2020.
Given the above, the Parish Council confirms that the recreation ground play area will remain closed until such time as the Council are satisfied that the guidelines can be implemented correctly and all relevant paperwork and safety checks have been completed.
