Proposed New River Crossing

The Council is very concerned that a decision has been reached, without much consultation with local people, on the route of the new river crossing. Whilst there was an exhibition last year, the whole project has been wrapped up in what is called Didcot Transport Plans, to improve transport links for Didcot. There are no clear base facts, or information as to the assumptions that have been used in the studies. The Parish Council has challenged the consultation and has asked for an officer from the County Council to attend a meeting to discuss the matter. At the time of writing an officer will be present on Tuesday 2nd July at 7.00 p.m. in the village hall to talk about the proposed new road.
